GOT FLASH? - We noticed you don't have the latest flash plugin. Our new site requires the flash plugin. You can bypass this detection if you wish. If you're in a rush, below is a brief overview of stuff we cover in the full version of our site.
So...who are we? It's simple, really. We're Leader Public Relations for some clients. We're Leader Design, Leader Retail Marketing, or Leader Management Consulting for others. And for those clients who look to us for our full-service, integrated offerings, we're Leader Enterprises. Whether our clients utilize the complete enterprising resources of Leader, or only require the counsel of a single practice group, they are assured of receiving the most professional service, execution and support of a company that will do whatever it takes to successfully achieve the goal. Leader's core strength has always been our adaptability - to changing market conditions or client needs.
Not to brag or anything, but our Retail Marketing Group is responsible for the conception, design and execution of more than 500 General Mills retail promotions a year. Yes, that's more than per day. Yes, that means that pretty much any human being that sets foot in grocery store or who opens a newspaper sees our work. Yes, that means we've developed an incredible proprietary traffic management system that we would put up against any big New York ad agency's. And finally, yes, that means the Retail Marketing Group is probably the ultimate case of left brain and right brain working in concert to create the most important thing of all for our client: Results.
And, not to brag or anything, but our key General Mills contact has told us that, "Nobody does retail marketing and promotions better than you do." Okay, maybe we are bragging a little, but we're proud of the fact that despite the fact that we crank out a massive amount of work for General Mills that we've had zero risk management issues for three years running. With more than 500 promotions a year in 50 states with almost as many different state laws and regulations, we've managed to not only create cool, effective creative, but we've gotten all of the fine print right (not that you read that stuff!). Not to brag or anything.
Public relations is part art and part science (with a healthy dose of the right attitude). As a result, you won't ever hear us report back that, "We sent out the release and have left messages." We think that is the easy way out. And lacks art, science and attitude! Instead, we take a more aggressive approach to media relations, which consistently produces superior results for our clients.
We think a successful, "completed" media hit is similar to a successful, completed pass in football. Both are the result of perfect execution. The same companies that might believe, "they left a message" is a satisfactory report, also believe that the media is on the other side of the ball. We believe that, together with our client, we're all on the same team. It's our job to get the media the ball, or in this case - the right story. Some media hits are short slants over the middle (local), some are deep outs (regional) and some are bombs (national). With every pitch, we determine which result is most likely and, which result will help us get closer to our clients' long-term goals. Fact is, there are times when the short slant is a better play than the bomb.
We're not afraid to say it...our Design & Production team rocks! There are some creative teams that need rose petals thrown at their feet as they walk the halls - and don't even TRY to make eye contact with the Creative Director! That's not how it works at Leader. Instead, our Design & Production Group is a collaborative team who can turn words into pictures and brands into art - or more importantly translate brands into sales (and has fun doing it.)
The Design & Production Group is responsible for all aspects of brand promotion and design support - from ideation to final product. We're talking print, video, web, tradeshows and more. We are constantly evaluating, reevaluating, (sleeping on) and then evaluating again our clients' brands and goals. So, forgive us if we're a little crazy about a brand's history, integrity, critical trademarks, consumer appeal, graphic design and visual communication, but we play in a sandbox where GREAT design is the magical intersection of the brand message and consumer purchase. See our stuff. Buy their product. That's the perfect day.
It's likely that you've gone to many sports events or concerts. And, if the event is produced successfully, it's equally likely that after getting your food and drink you settled into your seat, enjoyed the game or show, and had no reason to pay any attention to the fact that your experience was the result of a well-executed event management plan.
Leader has been creating, developing and managing sports and entertainment events since Leader was founded. We have worked with professional sports leagues, the NCAA, motion picture studios, corporations and individual properties. Most recently, we oversaw the renovation and transformation of an Olympic tennis stadium into a world-class outdoor concert venue and managed a nationally televised NCAA basketball double-header for the seventh consecutive year.
From booking talent to negotiating media and sponsor contracts, from managing the ticketing and media credentialing to creating the PA scripts and advertising, and from developing an appropriate event flow to the t-shirt design, Leader touches every aspect of our events. So, get your Coke and nachos and enjoy the show!
Sometimes before we can help a client with design, PR, marketing, or event management, they first need help with their business plan, infrastructure, processes, or organization. We can create an award-winning promotional plan for a product launch, but if the operations and organization can't execute, the program fails.
To help avoid such pitfalls, Leader Enterprises provides comprehensive strategic consulting and advisory services, everything from business planning, and process improvement, to performance management and organizational design. Our intimate understanding of business issues has been developed over twenty years of working with large and small clients in most geographic regions of the world. For clients seeking to leverage their marketing and promotion dollars, or launching a new business, we can provide the knowledge and know-how to enable an organization to achieve its objectives on time and on target.
Sports Marketing is probably one of the biggest misnomers in the world of marketing. There are people who sell t-shirts at sports events who consider themselves "sports marketers." You hear ads on the radio asking, "Do you love sports? If you answered yes, you need to come work for us!" Then, it turns out the company is a volunteer janitorial services company that cleans the bleachers of the local college football stadium (not that there's anything wrong with that. Just not what you had in mind, probably). We have a different definition.
We use sports as the vehicle to drive our client's branding, messaging and sales initiatives. The sports vertical is comprised of a passionate, demanding and enviable market demographic. Without a hint of conceit, we know where this demographic lives. We know HOW they live. We know how to get their attention. Our Sports Marketing Group is a cross-functional organization that's made up each of our other practices. It's the very definition of marketing integration.
Randy provides vision, direction, and senior management leadership for our company. He is responsible for client consulting and advisory services. Scott is not your typical CEO. Although he has the qualifications such as over 25 years of experience in the world event marketing and management, developing national programs for the NFL, MLB, Turner Broadcasting, and multiple Fortune 500 companies, he's still the old "roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty" guy he was 25 years ago. Outside the office, he creates the strategic plan as the manager of his son's 10-year old travel baseball team, is the savvy owner of the reigning Leader Fantasy Football Super Bowl Champion team "Husker Nation", and flawlessly executes time management so that he never misses he, and his wife of 18 years Julie's, three children's activities.

Clark manages Leader's Retail Marketing Group. With more than 20 years ofliving in the details of getting stuff done, a typical day for Clark and his team is developing promotions and creative, printing thousands of pieces of point of sale materials, assembling kits and shipping hundreds of marketing packages to retail stores all over the country. Always on time. Clark is married to his bride of 19 years and has two beautiful teenage daughters. Away from work, Clark and his family can be seen in boots and jeans, listening to good country music while camping or hiking in the mountains.
Rick oversees Leader’s design group. With over 15 years of industry experience, Rick has partnered in a southeastern design house and provided creative services to national brands, professional sports teams and leagues, and various non-profit organizations. Rick and his wife Susan are raising two rambunctious young boys and do their best to find the ever-elusive peace and quiet, in a household full of lost socks, muddy footprints and yelling. Rick is a New Englander by origin whose blood has thinned through 20 years in the south, and now uses an occasional "y'all".
